What is actually on the vape wall

A vape pen is two things, the cartridge that holds the oil and the battery that heats it. Some of what we sell is both in one piece, some is not. Knowing which one you are holding is most of the decision.

Picking one

Cart, battery, pod: what you are actually buying

A 510 cartridge does not work on its own. It screws onto a battery, and if you do not own one yet the budtender will hand you both. Ask for a 510-thread battery and you are covered, because that thread is a standard across the industry. A disposable is the same oil in a unit where the battery is built in and not rechargeable, which is why it costs more per gram of oil than the cart it holds.

Pods sit somewhere else again. They only fit the battery made for them, so once you pick a pod brand you are in that system. If you already know which one you like, the pod is the easiest thing on the wall to buy again. If you are still tasting your way around, a 510 battery plus a cartridge gives you every brand in the case instead of one.

Read the label

Total THC and the cartridge weight are printed on the pack in New York. A one gram cart is a gram of oil, not a gram of flower, so the number on it is not comparable to a joint.

Distillate or resin

Distillate is stripped to a single cannabinoid and flavoured back. Live resin and live rosin keep more of what the plant made, which is why they cost more and taste like the strain.

Hardware matters

A cart that tastes burnt is usually a voltage problem, not a bad cart. Turn the battery down, and keep a spare charged before the one you are holding dies.

Worth knowing

Why the vape case is not the flower case

Vaping and smoking are not the same ride. Inhaled oil gets into the blood fast, so it usually lands within a few minutes and fades sooner than an edible would. Flower is the opposite end of that, slower and longer. That difference in timing is the whole reason someone keeps a cart on the shelf next to a jar of cannabis flower, and neither one replaces the other.

The other thing worth saying plainly: a cart is the strongest thing in the store per pull. Two normal pulls off a live resin cart is a fair bit more than most people expect. Start with one, wait five minutes, and you will still be enjoying the evening an hour later, which is not true of the person who chased it. If you are new to the shelf entirely, the disposable is the gentler place to start because the puffs are smaller.

Three ways to buy

Getting a vape out the door

The online menu is the physical case. If a cart is showing in stock, it is in the building. Carts move fast, and a run on one brand clears the shelf in an afternoon, so order ahead if you already know what you want.

Vapes are covered by the daily specials the same as everything else, on pickup and delivery as well as at the counter.

1

Walk in

Bring a government photo ID showing 21 or older. Parking is free in front, and the vape wall is past the flower case.

2

Order ahead for pickup

Pick your carts on the menu, choose pickup, and it is usually bagged and waiting in about 15 minutes.

3

Same-day delivery

Our same-day delivery covers Niagara Falls, the Tonawandas, Wheatfield, Lewiston and Sanborn on store hours.

Vape questions

Do I need to buy a battery with a 510 cartridge?

Yes, unless you already own one. A 510 cartridge is just the oil and the glass, and it needs a rechargeable 510-thread battery to heat it. The thread is a standard, so almost any 510 battery works with almost any 510 cart. We sell batteries at the counter, and if you bring in a cart you bought elsewhere the budtender will still show you what it fits.

Is a disposable cheaper than a cartridge?

Up front, usually yes, because there is nothing else to buy. Per gram of oil it is usually the other way round, since you are paying for a battery you will throw away with the last of the oil. If you vape regularly, a battery and a cartridge costs more once and less every time after.

What is the difference between live resin and distillate?

Distillate is refined down to mostly one cannabinoid and then flavoured with terpenes added back in. Live resin is made from flower that was frozen fresh rather than dried, so more of the plant's own terpenes and minor cannabinoids come through. That shows up as a fuller, more strain-specific taste and a higher price. Neither is stronger by definition, and the THC number on the pack is the one to compare.

How long does a cartridge last?

That is a how-much-you-puff question more than a product question. A one gram cart lasts a light user weeks and a heavy user a few days, and there is no honest single answer. What does shorten it is heat: a battery left turned up burns oil faster and tastes worse at the end of the cart.

Can I buy a vape in New York without a medical card?

Yes. New York sells adult-use cannabis to anyone 21 or older with a government photo ID, and vapes are part of that. There is no card, no registration and no doctor's note involved for an adult-use purchase. Medical patients still have their own register, and a budtender can point you at it if that is what you need.

Can I get vapes delivered in Niagara Falls?

Yes, on store hours. Delivery runs across Niagara Falls, the Tonawandas, Wheatfield, Lewiston and Sanborn, and the order still needs a government photo ID showing 21 or older at the door. If you are only in town for a night, pickup is usually faster, since a cart is bagged and ready in about fifteen minutes.
